Each year, there are a wide variety of new films that have been adapted from novels, biographies and memoirs. In 2017 alone, disparate movies like Fifty Shades Darker, The Shack, A Dog’s Purpose, The Zookeeper’s Wife and The Dark Tower were adapted from books.
