“Knives Out 2” Sequel “Glass Onion” Reveals Photos, Release Date
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has an official release date and a few juicy images. The sequel to Rian Johnson’s wildly successful, deliciously enjoyable Knives Out will see the return of Daniel Craig’s gentleman detective Benoit Blanc this holiday season.
Glass Onion will arrive on Netflix on December 23 (and will play in select theaters at a soon-to-be-announced date), following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Rian Johnson Reveals “Knives Out 2” Wraps Filming
And that’s a wrap. Writer/director Rian Johnson took to Twitter to reveal that Knives Out 2 has officially wrapped production. Johnson’s follow-up to his surprise smash-hit whodunit boasts another stellar cast, led by Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, who returns once again to try an unpuzzle a murder mystery. With this news, we can now start the countdown to seeing some actual footage.
Johnson not only shared the news about his own film but complimented the visionary French director Leos Carax while he was at it.
Dave Bautista Joins Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out 2”
The first major bit of casting news for Rian Johnson’s sequel to his 2019 hit Knives Out is here—Deadline reports that Dave Bautista is joining Daniel Craig in Knives Out 2, reuniting the pair for the first time since they appeared together in 2015’s Spectre. Netflix scooped up Knives Out 2 and 3 in a deal that was reportedly worth more than $400 million.
