The Title Sequence Isn’t Disappearing – It’s Headed Back To The Big Screen

It appeared quietly, in the right corner of your Netflix screen a few months ago: the “skip intro” button. A translucent shortcut customized by the streaming service built to work both with any series, cold open or no, meant to allow binge-watchers to expedite their viewing experience. In the past, new features and redesigns have come and gone on the site without a word, but the button almost immediately created quite a stir. Most notably,

Watch Artists Create Rocket & Baby Groot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Digital effects are so outrageously good at this point, we take it for granted that Andy Serkis can become an utterly realistic intelligent chimpanzee and give arguably the greatest motion capture performances of all time throughout the new Apes trilogy, or, say, watch a talking, hybrid raccoon and a sentient plant-based alien, voiced by stars Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel respectively, and never once be taken out of the film by just how outrageous what it is we’re seeing actually is.

Rocket Raccoon’s Twisted Origins to be Explored in Upcoming Film

One of the surprising turns in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. was the connection forged between Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Yondu (Michael Rooker).  Up until Yondu finally confronted Rocket on being a colossal jerk, the ferocious little hybrid guy had spent much of the film berating his fellow Guardians. Rocket was testy in the original, but in Vol. 2, he seemed downright incosolably furious, which was odd considering he finally had a family of sorts,

James Gunn Reveals Guardians of the Galaxy Could be the Future of the MCU

In a Facebook Live promotion Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 coming to home video, director James Gunn revealed that the Guardians may be the key the future of the Marvel Universe. So far, the series has been pretty heavily focused on the Avengers with the Guardians are doing their own thing. They will all finally unite, however, in Avengers: Infinity War for the supersized battle against Thanos.

James Gunn Explains Those Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Post-Credits Scenes

Any fan worth their salt knows about the five scenes that were interspersed throughout the end credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But there has been some confusion as to what it all means. James Gunn, who both wrote for and directed the film, shed some light on what exactly those scenes mean for the future of the series.

Watch This Insane Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Music Video Inferno

There have been lots of reasons to love James Gunn’s two Guardians of the Galaxy films. There’s been the loose, lively chemistry between the cast, the zany, cosmic storytelling, the humor, the heart, Groot, and also, of course, baby Groot (and teen Groot!) What Guardians also possesses, more so than any other Marvel movie in history, is a deep, abiding love of music—it’s right there in the title, with the films so influenced by Star-lord’s beloved mixed tapes.

Watch How Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Utilized Practical Effects to Nearly Kill Rocket

When two of your main characters are a walking and talking (sort of) tree and a talking raccoon, you know that CGI has played a huge part. Yet, you might be surprised to find out that a good portion of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was made with practical effects. In a new behind-the-scenes look at the film, James Gunn and his team explain how one scene, involving Rocket jumping from tree to tree while he’s being shot at from baddies on the ground,

Watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s Michael Rooker Become Yondu

We love makeup artists here at The Credits. Time and time again, these wizards turn mere human actors into gods, monsters and everything in between, often deploying a wide variety of talents to create the characters that the script demands. Whether its Logan's Joel Harlow, explaining to us the finer points of turning Hugh Jackman into the clawed mutant Wolverine, or The Revenant's Sian Grigg's pristine work dirtying up the usually dapper Leonardo DiCaprio,

Kurt Russell & Dave Bautista Talk Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

In his long and epic career, Kurt Russell has worked with some of the best directors alive, which makes his praise for James Gunn, the visionary behind the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy (he’s staying on board to see the franchise through its first narrative cycle) all the sweeter. Russell joined Vol. 2 in a crucial role, as Ego, the Living Planet, who also happens to be Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) father.

Let’s Discuss Those Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Post Credits Scenes

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a whopping five post-credits scenes. Surely this is some kind of record. It's also fitting for James Gunn's sequel, as Vol. 2 is a wild film, with some of the biggest, most complex action set pieces of any Marvel film.  The credits scenes themselves are little jewels, doing double duty of completing some storylines from the film and teasing upcoming films in Marvel's world conquering MCU.

How James Gunn Utilized IMAX Technology for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

It’s no secret that if you’re going to see a action-packed spectacle like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, IMAX is likely the best way to go. That’s even truer when the director, like James Gunn, shot and designed part of the movie specifically for that expanded ratio that IMAX delivers. For those scenes, the image expands to fill the entire IMAX screen (which is roughly 26% larger than standard theaters),

Go Behind-the-Scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Earlier we wrote about the insane success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One way to measure that success is by how different the individual films within that universe can be from one another. Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect example of how Marvel has stayed ahead of the curve by dipping into their wild canon of misfits and antiheroes and giving you a new host of characters to care about that are nothing like the previous characters you also love.

Love’s in the air in new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The big romantic connection in the first Guardians of the Galaxy was between Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana). They met cute (she kicked his butt, then they all got arrested), they fought and teased each other, they shared some personal history, and then he nearly died saving her life. For Vol. 2, it seems we might see the two take their relationship to the next level,
