MPA Statement on Senator Richard Durbin’s Retirement Announcement
WASHINGTON – The following is a statement from Motion Picture Association Chairman and CEO Charles Rivkin on Senator Richard Durbin’s (D-IL) retirement announcement:
“Senator Richard Durbin has been a steadfast partner to American creators over the course of his extensive career in the U.S. House and Senate. Whether through his on-screen cameo in the thriller Contagion or his off-screen support for copyright enforcement and anti-piracy efforts on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Durbin has always been a strong and trusted ally for the film, television, and streaming industry and the American creative community.
