Motion Picture Association Statement on Confirmation of Pam Bondi as Attorney General
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate today confirmed Pam Bondi as Attorney General. The following is a statement from the Motion Picture Association:
“Pam Bondi’s legal experience, career in law enforcement, and service to the State of Florida will serve her well as our nation’s next Attorney General. The Motion Picture Association looks forward to working with her to safeguard the film, television, and streaming industry; protect free speech; counter piracy; and enforce intellectual property laws.
“Copyright forms the foundation of our creative economy, supporting more than 2.3 million jobs in communities nationwide. It is a bedrock principle in defending the work of creators and innovators in the entertainment sector, and the MPA is confident that Attorney General Bondi and the Department of Justice will remain steadfast partners in defending creativity.”
