Statement from MPAA Chairman and CEO Senator Chris Dodd on the confirmation of Steven Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary

WASHINGTON – The following is a statement from Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, on the confirmation of Steven Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury:

“The MPAA congratulates Steven Mnuchin on his confirmation as Secretary of the Treasury. The film and television industry is a key driver of the U.S. economy – supporting nearly two million American jobs – and one of the most competitive industries around the world. The Treasury Department contributes to America’s creative industries through tax policies that create domestic jobs and improve U.S. competitiveness.
