Shogun

Tonight, the Motion Picture Association, Disney, FX, and the Embassy of Japan co-hosted a screening of the series Shogun. Charles Rivkin, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association; Susan Fox, Senior Vice President and Head of Government Relations at The Walt Disney Company; and Koichi Ai, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Japan to the United States, gave introductory remarks before the screening.
Following the screening, guests heard a lively panel discussion with talent from the show, including Co-creators Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks, Producer and Star Hiroyuki Sanada, Star Anna Sawai, and Producer Eriko Miyagawa.

As the series’ official page notes, ““Lord Yoshii Toranaga” (Hiroyuki Sanada) is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.”
