New Twin Peaks Teaser Reveals Changes to Creepiest Small Town in America

In less than a month one of TV's most iconic television shows will be reborn; David Lynch and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks returns. We'll be revisiting the eponymous town 25 years after the murder of Laura Palmer, with a two-hour premiere on Showtime on Sunday, May 21. In this new teaser, Lynch takes us back to some famous Twin Peaks locations, including Laura Palmer's house, the sheriff’s department, and the Double R Diner—only things aren't quite the same. The cast includes some of the stars from the original, like Kyle MacLachlan (Dale Cooper), Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer), Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), but the scenery, and the weirdness that's sure to follow, will surely have changed.

It might only be 30 seconds worth of footage, but for Twin Peaks fans and Lynch-heads, this is a bonafide bonanza considering how tightly under wraps the entire production has been kept. The first image you'll see is the Red Room, the place spied in Cooper's dreams in the original, where we were introduced to the Man from Another Place (Michael J. Anderson). You'll also notice that the RR Cafe now goes by "RR2Go!," signifying that the times have indeed changed in the creepiest small town in America.
