Watch the Beauty and the Beast Premiere Live
Well folks, we’re just about there. Tonight is the world premiere of Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast, directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. The studio has partnered with Verizon to bring the premiere to fans all across the world, live. You can watch the event as the filmmakers and stars arrive at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, which begins at 2:45 EST.
We’ve been building to this moment for a long time, sharing clips from the film, (including this great one of Belle singing), as well as sharing some of the major musical talents lending their chops to the film, from Josh Groban to John Legend and Ariana Grande.
Condon’s Beauty and the Beast offers is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s 1991 animated classic, following the Belle’s journey as she’s taken prisoner by a beast in his enchanted castle, where she finds all is not as it seems, especially with him.
Starring alongside Watson and Stevens are Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; and Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp. The film also features Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Audra McDonald as Garderobe and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
Check out the live feed below, and prepare yourself for the worldwide premiere of the film on March 17.
