Brad Pitt & Marion Cotillard Sizzle in new Allied Clips

It's 1942 in North Africa, and intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) meets French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. They go under cover as a married couple, charged with taking out a high ranking official. Their cover relationships becomes real, but eventually their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressure of the war when Max's handlers declare that Marianne is a Nazi spy.

Directed by Oscar-winner Robert Zemeckis, written by an Oscar-nominated writer (Steven Knight, Dirty Pretty Things) and starring two Oscar-winning lead actors in Cotillard and Pitt—(he won his Oscar for producing, but he's been nominated for acting three times), Allied has a lot going for it. In four new clips released by Paramount, these ingredients, especially Cotillard and Pitt, prove a sizzling combination on the screen. Let's have a look. 

In this clip, Vatan is giving Marianne lessons in firing a weapon. Or at least, he thinks he is. In just a minute, you get a sense that Marianne is more than capable of using any weapon at hand to do what needs to be done.

In this clip, you see the fruits of Max and Marianne's labor when they put their skills to the test.

When your cover becomes more than that, and real emotions flood in. In this clip the very conceit of Allied is laid bare.

And finally here's where this all is heading; Vatan's handlers accusation that his wife's a spy. What's more, "routine procedure" dictates that if she's indeed revealed to be a spy, protcol demands he dispatches her by his own hand. The pleasure here is also watching Pitt wrangle with two of the best character actors in the business, Jared Harris and Simon McBurney.

Allied hits theaters on November 23.
