Motion Picture Association on the Death of HRH Queen Elizabeth II
WASHINGTON – HRH Queen Elizabeth II died today after over 70 years as the Sovereign of the United Kingdom, making her the longest reigning monarch in British history. The following is a statement from Motion Picture Association Chairman and CEO Charles Rivkin:
“The Motion Picture Association is deeply saddened to hear of the death of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. As the world mourns her loss, we give thanks for her extraordinary life and her service to her country. Her story was one of inspiration and fascination the world over; a life lived on film. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.”
