Rian Johnson Shares Set Photos From Star Wars: Episode VIII

Director Rian Johnson has really bought into the TGIF feeling: he's shared Star Wars: Episode VIII set photos on his Tumblr. Like The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, Johnson and the Episode VIII team have been secretive about production—there's even a story that they've got drones on set designed to take down other drones who might be trying to snap some photos—yet he has shared a few images from production in the past. Now that he's halfway through shooting Episode VIII, Johnson felt it was a good enough reason to gift fans with these two shots:

Episode VIII doesn't hit theaters until December 15, 2017.
