Behold the New, Final Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer
At long last, the final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer landed just moments ago during halftime of the Eagles/Giants Monday Night Football game, and like millions of people around the country, we were absolutely floored by it. It was always likely going to be a doozy, considering this was the trailer that J.J. Abrams had been holding for his final big reveal, and sources we trust who had gotten sneak peeks indicated as much. (In fact, we were briefly duped by a shot of a starry sky that looked exactly like the beginning of the very first Star Wars, but was, in fact, a clever promo for both the game and a sly wink to Star Wars fans.
Without further ado, here's the trailer, with some thoughts below.

The very first shot was of Rey (Daisy Ridley) in a mask and goggles, repelling down what looks an awful lot like the interior of the old Death Star (but is likely a new First Order starship).
The very first bit of dialogue is a question: In voiceover, we hear, "Who are you?" The voice sounds like, to our ears, Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). This is followed by Rey's response: "I'm no one." Of course Rey very well could be someone, say, Rey Skywalker, Leia's daughter.
Then the Lucasfilm logo, which still evokes chills. This is followed by a shot of the Starkiller base and the legions of the First Order, including a huge gathering of stormtroopers, Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), and more.
Our first shot of Finn (John Boyega), in his now familiar Stormtrooper uniform, and this voice over: "I was raised to do one thing. I've got nothing to fight for."
Then it's a shot of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), speaking to….Darth Vader's mask. It looks more likely that the theory regarding Ren's Darth Vader obsession appears to be pretty damn solid. Here's Ren, in his mask, saying "Nothing will stand in our way. I will finish what you started."
Poe Dameron(Oscar Isaac) screaming, captured by Kylo Ren who is bringing his gloved hand to the sweaty Dameron's face. This is followed by a shot of a world apparently being destroyed.
Han Solo (Harrison Ford) telling Rey, "It's true–all of it. The dark side. The Jedi." The question is why is Han confirming for the younger players that the stories about the Jedi are true? Now it seems we have a bit more insight into that title—The Force Awakens. When this story begins, it appears that the Jedi might exist largely as myth to the likes of Rey and Finn and Dameron, until a resurgent First Order forces the Jedi back into the light and puts our protagonists into some very hairy situations (pure speculation, of course).
This is followed by the most intense battle sequences we've seen yet, with X-wings and TIE Fighters filling the air.
The final line: "The force, it's calling to you—just let it in." This last line was, we'll guess again, delivered by Leia, and it was meant for Rey. Rey Skywalker, we'll go on a limb and call.
Bottom line; the trailer is awesome.
