New Clip of Disney+’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars Reveals “The Bad Batch”
For Star Wars fans, Disney+’s upcoming airing of the conclusion to Star Wars: The Clone Wars series is seriously great news. The Clone Wars is one of the most well-executed sagas in the Star Wars canon, and now 12 brand-new episodes will air on Disney+ beginning this Friday, February 21. We’ve got a glimpse of the first of the final episodes, “The Bad Batch,” which looks fantastic, thanks in no small part to the advances in animation since The Clone Wars first appeared.
The Clone Wars comes from The Mandalorian‘s executive producer From Dave Filoni. “The Bad Batch” will follow Captain Rex (Dee Bradley Baker) leading his eponymous Bad Batch on a raid of an enemy base on Anaxes.
Here’s the larger synopsis on the series: Star Wars: The Clone Wars follows the Republic’s clone army in their struggle against Count Dooku’s Separatist forces, and features fan-favorite characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and Darth Maul. Now streaming on Disney+.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will help bridge the gap between the recent Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the upcoming Disney+ series and, eventually, the next feature film in 2022. Two of the most hotly anticipated live-action series are centered on Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) first introduced in Rogue One, and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), from George Lucas’s prequel trilogy.
The Clone Wars is likely going to draw a lot of eyeballs considering the series’ acclaimed run. The new episodes in the final season all build towards the events in George Lucas’s film Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith.
The series stars Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex and the clone troopers, James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan, and Sam Witwer as Maul.
