What Should the Knives Out Sequel be Called?

After the critical and commercial success of Rian Johnson‘s charming, scheming, delightful whodunit Knives Out, Johnson is already at work on a sequel. Yet here’s the thing; Johnson and Lionsgate Studio are in need of a title, and they’re looking to you—yes you, reader—to help them come up with one.

There is already a slew of great responses, some of which would actually work as a title, most of which are just silly and funny. In fact, we think the very last title suggestion we’ve embedded below really would work. Instead of working on the script for the sequel, Johnson himself seems to have been waylaid by the responses:

Without further ado, here are some of our favorites possible titles for the Knives Out sequel:

You know who really didn’t seem to give a fork? Ransom Drysdale (Chris Evans). If Johnson was going full comedy, then sure, this would work:

This is a great bit of wordplay with the name of Daniel Craig’s southern gentleman detective, Benoit Blanc:

Verifiably true title, coming up:

If Blanc Slate speaks to a film asking those deep existential questions, then the following potential title speaks to an action film about a detective willing to do whatever it takes:

Hard to argue with this callback. Reader, if you don’t get this joke, ask someone above the age of 35.

Sometimes the best titles are the simplest. Hats off to Dana Schwartz, who we think came up with the winner.

Knives Out 2, whatever it’ll end up being called, is currently being developed.
