Monsters—People Included—Haunt A Quiet Place: Part II’s Official Trailer
The official trailer for John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place: Part II is here, folks. After his thrilling, out-of-nowhere creature feature in 2018, Krasinski is back with a follow-up that centers around the surviving members of the Abbott family as they fight to stay alive in a monster-haunted world, now facing new threats—other people.
The new trailer gives us a glimpse of what life was like the day the sound-hunting aliens first appeared in a thrilling minute-plus of action. We see Evelyn (Emily Blunt) trying to navigate through a suburbia gone berserk with her children Marcus (Noah Jupe) and Regan (Millicent Simmonds). Wait for the moment when Evelyn has to reserve away from a runaway bus with a giant alien monster onboard for this trailer to kick into high gear.
After that, we’re at the point where A Quiet Place left off; with Evelyn, Marcus and Regan having to venture out of their cabin and into the larger world. It’s never easy following up on a hit. It’s doubly difficult when that hit felt so bracingly original and surprising. Yet from this look and from the assembled cast and crew (newcomers include Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou), especially with Blunt in the lead role, it’s fair to say A Quiet Place: Part II is one of the most hotly anticipated films of early 2020. You can catch Krasinski’s sequel on March 20, 2020.
