Here Are All the Marvel Films and Disney + Series Coming Your Way
Marvel Studios president and chief creative officer Kevin Feige recently told Bloomberg that the upcoming Disney + series Loki absolutely does connect to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. “I’m not sure we’ve actually acknowledged that before. But it does [connect],” he said.
This isn’t surprising considering Feige has already gone on record to say that the Marvel series that will be exclusively on Disney’s new streaming service Disney + will all connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Therefore the news here is that Loki will specifically connect to the next Doctor Strange movie, which makes sense when consider the premise of the series. The Loki series sees a different version of star Tom Hiddleston’s titular trickster god than the one who died at the hands of Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. The Loki we’ll be seeing in the new series is the one who popped up during Avengers: Endgame and used the Tesseract to disappear. Hence he’s traveling the multiverse, which sets up the next Strange film. How exactly this will happen will be but one reason to watch the series.
Feige went on to reiterate that the entire Disney + lineup, which includes WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and upcoming additions like Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight, will all connect to the MCU. For the first time ever, Marvel’s TV operations and the MCU will be interconnected, creating a mega-narrative the likes of which only this particular studio seems capable of currently pulling off.
