Arnold Schwarzenegger Showing new Terminator: Dark Fate Footage at Comic-Con

This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is going to be a big one. We know what you’re thinking—every year at SDCC is huge, but 2019 is really shaping up to be colossal. We already know that Marvel is headed back to Hall H. That bit of news itself means that this year’s Con is going to have some major reveals (Black Widow is our bet for one of Marvel’s spotlights), but the super studio and their ever-expanding MCU is hardly the only thing we’ll be keeping an eye on in San Diego. Lots of folks are headed to this year’s Con with exciting projects to reveal.

Enter Paramount—they’ve got a fella by the name of Arnold Schwarzenegger heading to SDCC to share new footage from Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate. Schwarzenegger will present the new footage during a panel discussion about the film. The Hollywood Reporter has it that Schwarzenegger will be joining original Terminator co-star Linda Hamilton, as well as your newcomers Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta on stage in Hall H. Also joining the fray is director Tim Miller. The Dark Fate panel takes place on July 18, with the presentation starting at 11:00 a.m. PT.

What the footage might be is, of course, anyone’s guess. What we do know is that Dark Fate reunites Schwarzenegger and Hamilton for the first time since James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). Dark Fate isn’t just a reunion for these two Terminator alums—James Cameron himself has also returned, working with Miller on creating a new vision for the latest installment. One of the decisions that Miller and Cameron made was to forget about every Terminator film that came after Judgement Day. Their new film picks up right after the events in that film (in which Arnold’s T-800 was a good guy), adding a bunch of new characters along the way.

Terminator: Dark Fate arrives in theaters on November 1, 2019. We’ll know a bit more after the panel on July 18.
