The Lego Movie 2 Has an Even Catchier Song than ‘Everything is Awesome’

The Lego Movie was a totally surprising, clever, and fresh take on THE toy that has defined all of our childhoods. The plot was adorable and the characters were so dang likable. However, it is impossible to think about the film without thinking of the hit movie that emerged with it. Yes, in Bricksburg ‘Everything is Awesome,’ but will that be the case in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part? Maybe, but the music may be even better. A new clip reveals the theme song for the upcoming adventure, and it could be even more addictive.

There’s only one way to make sure your song is stuck in everyone’s head all day. Make it catchy. The Lego Movie 2 is taking that formula literally with the new ‘Catchy Song.’ With the sole intent to pump up the jams and keep you singing it all day, T-Pain and That Girl Lay Lay may have created the perfect party hook.

The quick look at the scene that inspired the tune acknowledges that having a song stuck in your head all day isn’t everyone’s favorite. The Lego Duplo characters appear to be kidnappers, but the worst they will do is be way too cheery. All in all, it’s not the worst torture in the world. Lucky for us, the writers have at least given us something fun to grab onto. ‘Catchy Song’ is actually pretty good and a solid remedy for anyone who is ready for an ‘Everything is Awesome’ replacement.

“I’ve like heard it one time and I’m gonna be singing it for the next two week,” star Alison Brie said. Two weeks? Try two years, Alison. The song is officially stuck inside Chris Pratt’s head, and if you click play, it will be stuck in yours too.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part dances into theaters February 8.
