Wade Wilson Cleans the Fridge at the X-Mansion in New Deadpool 2 Deleted Scene
Wade Wilson just wants to be a good X-Person, ostensibly. Leading up to the release of the Deadpool 2 Super Duper $@%!#& Cut, IGN released a scene that was deleted from the original movie on its YouTube channel and it has us chomping at the bit, waiting for more footage.
In the scene, Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is showing off his new, nicer persona — organizing the fridge, talking about the meals for the week, talking about cleaning the mansion — but Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) doesn’t buy it for a second, even as Colossus (Stefan Kapičić) defends him at every turn. With a Planes, Trains, and Automobiles reference thrown in and a not-so-subtle joke about bodily fluids, the scene encapsulates exactly the kind of humor we all love from this franchise.
But that isn’t all she wrote. The Super Duper $@%!#& Cut contains 15 more minutes of footage not found in the theatrical cut of the film. We even get to see Deadpool do a Tarantino-esque revision of history in a credits scene where he kills baby Hitler.
For those of you who haven’t seen a Deadpool film (what have you been doing?) or those for whom too much time has passed since opening weekend, here is the synopsis of Deadpool 2:
Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool meets Russell, an angry teenage mutant who lives at an orphanage. When Russell becomes the target of Cable — a genetically enhanced soldier from the future — Deadpool realizes that he’ll need some help saving the boy from such a superior enemy. He soon joins forces with Bedlam, Shatterstar, Domino and other powerful mutants to protect young Russell from Cable and his advanced weaponry.
The Deadpool 2 Super Duper $@%!#& Cut came out on Digital HD on August 7 and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 21.
