This Avengers: Infinity War TV Spot Has a Ton of Thrilling new Footage

We know what you’re thinking—you figure that when a studio is nearing the release of a film the size of Avengers: Infinity War, they can flood the zone with a ton of new TV spots without actually showing that much new footage. Yet, that hasn’t really been the case with this film, perhaps because of the aforementioned size of it. With a record number of superheroes and a massive, decade-in-the-making battle at its core, there’s likely a ton of footage that Marvel and Walt Disney Studios has at their disposal for promotional material which they can release without worrying about showing us too much. That’s evident in this spot “Chant,” in which we get a ton of new footage. In fact, nearly the entire minute shows us sequences we’ve haven’t seen before, especially the titular chant, led by T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) as he fires up his Wakandan army for a war in which nothing short of the of the universe hangs in the balance.

We’re only two weeks from Infinity War‘s release, which means we’ll likely be getting a whole lot more TV spots (and a few more images) up until the April 27 premiere. In this spot, not only do we get to see T’Challa’s chills-inducing chant, we witness Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barne (Sebastian Stan)’s reunion (Cap asks him how he’s doing, Bucky’s response? “Not bad, for the end of the world,”) new shots of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and, a great joke from Okoye (Danai Gurira) to end the spot.

Following right on the heels of Ryan Coogler’s historic Black PantherInfinity War has a chance to make history itself. After all this build up, we cannot wait to see what directors Joe and Anthony Russo, their stellar, massive cast and their fellow collaborators behind the camera have in store for us.
