Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe Highlight Extremely Aussie Dundee Trailer

No, Dundee is not an actual movie. Yes, we really want to see Dundee be made into an actual movie. What Dundee is, however, is a brilliant ad for Australian tourism set to air during the Super Bowl.  This fake movie stars Danny McBride as the estranged American son of Crocodile Dundee, the iconic Bard of the Outback (or something like that) played by Paul Hogan. Previous clips have boasted giant Australian stars Chris Hemsworth and Hugh Jackman, but this is our first look at the entire cast, and it’s incredible.

While we’re still waiting to see Hogan himself, the Dundee official cast intro trailer provides you with just about every notable Australian of the last 30 years as Brian relies on their help to track down his dear old dad. Boasting some impressive establishing shots (clearly the Australia tourism board isn’t shy with production budgets) and McBride’s peerless ability to play the buffonish fish-out-of-water that you adore, Dundee is both a high concept tourism ad and a pretty great idea for a comedy.

And then there’s just the pleasure of enjoying the insane bounty that Australia has to offer—and we’re not just talking about the beauty of the country. If anything, Dundee is a stark reminder of how much our friends from down under have supplied Hollywood with some of their biggest, most mega wattage stars. Dundee doesn’t skimp on the Hemsworths (Chris and Liam), and delivers a veritable who’s who of Aussia superstars, including Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie (as a character named ‘Lil Donk’), Ruby Rose, Russell Crowe, Isla Fisher, Luke Bracey, and Jessica Mauboy. The first real look at Dundee will come during this Sunday’s Super Bowl.
