Hitchcock Stories Getting a TV Reboot

Alfred Hitchcock has not been on the small screen for more than fifty years, but Universal Cable Productions is reimagining stories by the master of suspense. Variety reported that the Alfred Hitchcock Estate has given their blessing to the production company for a new anthology series called Welcome to Hitchcock

Hitchcock’s mid-century program Alfred Hitchcock Presents featured a different suspense story each week. The upcoming series is set to follow a new story arc each season and will draw from classics by the famous director like Psycho, Vertigo, and North by Northwest. With the recent success of anthology shows like American Horror Story, True Detective and Fargo, we can’t wait to see a resurrection of the frightening tales.

Harry Potter alum Chris Columbus (Home Alone) is on board to direct the pilot. No word yet on where the series will be carried or when it will premiere, but you can find us watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents reruns until then.
