Before Fantastic Beasts, new Trailer Reveals J.K. Rowling set to Release Four New Stories
Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly revealed this trailer for J.K. Rowling's History of Magic in North America, which teases the four brand new stories Rowling will be releasing on Pottermore today. As EW revealed, these new stories will help set the stage for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will take viewers into the world of North American wizarding (specifically, in New York City) and is based on Rowling's first official script, and opens on November 18.
The four new stories comprise a quartet titled “History of Magic in North America.” These narratives will focus on the American version of Hogwarts, called Ilvermorny; Skin-walkers, a Native American legend; The Salem witch trials, which was a seminal moment for America's national magical identity; and the US version of the Ministry of Magic, called the Magical Congress of the United States of America.
You can read the first story in the “History of Magic in North America” series today, March 8, at 9 AM EST. The remaining three stories will debut every day until Friday, March 11. Check out the trailer for the stories below.
